Five Star Hotel Systems Internet Reservations Module gives you a REAL TIME, fully integrated tool for taking reservations right from your web site. A low, up front investment and no per-transaction fees make this solution very right for you.

Hardware You Will Need
- A network if you are currently using Five Star on just one computer. If you currently have a Windows 95/98/ME/XP system, you will need a computer on your current Five Star network that just looks after internet access. It will run Microsoft Personal Web Server included with Windows 95/98. If you currently use Windows NT/Novell/2000 you will use IIS, a tool that comes with these programs. Five Star or your hardware vendor will set up these programs.
- High speed internet access and 1.5 meg modem (through Bell) and a static IP presence, which allows you to host a web page at your property all costing about $90 per month paid to your phone company.
We provide the web pages called the ‘Booking Engine’, the tool guests use to check availability, prices and make bookings. You will need to have your existing web site modified to add a link to this engine. The web computer communicates with Five Star for checking availability and prices, and for saving reservations. It translates HTML requests (the web page language) into the language Five Star is written in (called Providex) and checks availability and prices just as if you had done it on Five Star in the first place.
We make the web booking tool virtually identical in design, layout and features to the reservation and availability screen in Five Star, so you know the design will work as well and as reliably as your actual Five Star. No long development and revision stages as the program evolves. It already has!
