Payroll Clients:The current update on our website contains the latest payroll update files for Jan 2008. Please print the directions and follow them to download and install the latest software.

DOCUMENTATION FOR GST CHANGE EFFECTIVE JAN 1, 2008.

Windows Vista: For those clients considering upgrading to the latest Microsoft operating system, Windows Vista, please note that Five Star software is not supported for use in that environment.

Norton Anti Virus Users: After recent updates from Symantec, many Five Star clients have reported considerable system slow downs. As a result, they have researched and installed other reputable antivirus software which has alleviated their performance issues.

Please Note: For those clients running Windows XP, 2000, 2003 workstations with a Windows 98, 98 SE, ME server, you must not download the XP update KB885250 or 2000/2003 service packs newer than July 1, 2005. You should disable the automatic updates or upgrade your 98 SE server to XP or higher.

HP LaserJet 1012 users: If you encounter the message "Unsupported Personality PCL" power down the printer then restart it. You can then use Five Star's reprinting capability to print your document.

Whenever possible contact our support line early in the day (8am-11am EST). Our response time will be very short, and most probably immediate. Later in the day seems to be the most popular time to call Five Star so it takes us longer to get back to you.
